I logged in successfully but Hive9 won't load past the login screen

Short Description Your password works, you see Hive9 briefly, then you're bounced to an error page or a blank screen. This is a session issue, and it's often resolved within minutes.

What this article answers

  • What "logged in but can't access" usually means.
  • The two-minute self-recovery steps.
  • When to call this in as an outage.

What's happening

You enter your credentials at plan.hive9.com. Authentication succeeds — you don't see a "wrong password" error — but the application doesn't load. You may see:

  • A redirect to an error page (often a URL containing /Error/Error).
  • A blank screen.
  • A spinner that never resolves.
  • A logged-out state seconds after logging in.

Why this happens

Hive9 maintains user sessions in a backend session store. If the session store is briefly unavailable, the application can't establish or read your session even though authentication succeeded. The result is the symptoms above.

This is almost always a short-lived condition. In rare cases it's a sign of broader maintenance or an instance-level issue.

How to recover

Step 1 — Try a clean browser session

  1. Close all Hive9 tabs.
  2. Open an incognito or private browser window.
  3. Go to plan.hive9.com and log in again.

If the incognito window works, the issue was a stale browser cache or cookie. Clear your regular browser's cache and cookies for hive9.com to keep the fix permanent.

Step 2 — Try a different browser

If incognito doesn't help, try another browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox). If the second browser works, the original browser likely has a corrupt cookie or extension interfering.

Step 3 — Wait a few minutes and try again

If neither browser change works, the issue may be on the server side and self-healing. Wait 5–10 minutes and try again.

Step 4 — Check whether your colleagues are affected

If multiple people in your organization can't access Hive9 at the same time, this is an instance-level event. Check your organization's internal communications channels for any maintenance notices, and contact Support if you don't see one.

What to include if you contact Support

To help Support diagnose quickly, include:

  • The exact time you tried to log in.
  • The URL you were redirected to (especially if it contains /Error/Error or similar).
  • Whether the issue affects only you or multiple users.
  • The browser and version you're using.
  • Whether incognito mode also fails.

Common questions

Is this the same as my password not working? No. If your password is wrong, the login screen rejects you with an error before you reach the application. This issue happens after the password is accepted.

Will logging in from a phone or tablet work? Sometimes — mobile browsers maintain their own cookies and cache, so they can succeed when a desktop browser fails. It's a reasonable thing to try, though Hive9 is optimized for desktop use.

Why doesn't Hive9 show an outage banner when this happens? Some session-store issues happen below the level Hive9's outage alerts can detect — authentication still works, so monitoring registers the system as up. Reporting via Support helps trigger the right investigation.
