Allocadia navigation and menu overview

An orientation to the main navigation, the Home page, your workspaces, and where to find each major feature in Allocadia.

The main areas

After logging in, you'll see Allocadia's main navigation. The core areas are:

  • Home — the hierarchy table listing your fiscal-year hierarchies (e.g. AOP — FY26) and the entry point into any budget.
  • Activities / Budget — the budget grid for a selected hierarchy, where line items live.
  • Insights — the reporting and dashboards area, powered by GoodData.
  • Settings / Administration — user management, imports, Master Settings, and other admin configuration (visible to admins only).

The Home page

Home shows your fiscal-year hierarchies in a table with columns for Users, Manage Users, Currency, POs, Actuals, and Approvals. From Home you can:

  • Open any hierarchy's budget grid (click the hierarchy name).
  • Create a new activity plan, or delete, copy, or move entries.
  • Import PO or Actual data for a hierarchy.
  • Access the mapping interface for unmapped POs or Actuals via the map (N) link in those columns.

For a tour of the Home page columns and panels, see The Allocadia Home page tour.

Navigating the hierarchy

Inside a hierarchy, Allocadia organizes spend top-down: Folder → Budget → Activity Plan → Category / Sub-Category → Line Item. Use the hierarchy tree on the left to drill in and out. Breadcrumbs at the top of the budget grid tell you where you are.

For a deeper look at the hierarchy concept, see Understanding the Allocadia hierarchy — Folders, Budgets, Activity Plans, Categories, Line Items.

Finding features

A few common questions:

  • Where do I create a Purchase Request? Inside the budget grid, right-click a Line Item → New PR.
  • Where do I see my approvals? The Approvals column on Home shows pending approvals for each hierarchy; the Approvals view inside a budget shows item-level detail.
  • Where do I run a report? Insights (top navigation).
  • Where do I change the fiscal year I'm viewing? Home — each FY has its own hierarchy entry.
