Filter the budget grid to focus on the slice you need, then select rows for bulk edit, delete, copy, or move operations.
Opening the Filter Panel
The Filter Panel is accessible from the budget grid toolbar — look for a filter icon or the Filters button. The panel opens as a side drawer with filter controls grouped by field type.
Common filters
- Date — restrict to a time window (e.g. Q1 only).
- Owner — show line items owned by a specific user.
- Status — filter by approval or workflow state.
- Custom attributes — any attribute your account uses (vendor, GL account, region, campaign code, etc.).
Multiple filters combine with AND logic — a line item must match all active filters to appear.
Saving a filter as a view
Once you've set a useful combination, save it as a view so you can return to it quickly. See Calendar view, Grid view, and saved views in Allocadia.
Bulk actions
With filters applied, select multiple rows (Shift-click a range, Ctrl/Cmd-click individuals, or the "select all" checkbox for everything visible). The bulk-action menu then exposes operations like:
- Edit — change a shared attribute across all selected items.
- Delete — move selected items to the Recycle Bin.
- Copy — duplicate selected items (useful for creating a batch of similar line items).
- Move — relocate selected items to a different Category, Activity Plan, or Budget.
Available bulk actions depend on your account configuration and your role. If an action is greyed out, it's either disabled on your account or above your permission level.
Safety: review before you commit
Bulk actions apply to every selected row. Before committing a bulk delete or move, double-check the selection count displayed in the toolbar. If you accidentally delete items, they go to the Recycle Bin and can be restored — see Recovering deleted items from the Allocadia Recycle Bin.
