Switch between the budget Grid and the Calendar view for time-based planning, and save filter/sort combinations as reusable views.
Grid view (default)
The Grid is the default view when you open a hierarchy. It's a spreadsheet-style layout: Line Items as rows, time periods as columns (monthly or quarterly), with totals rolling up to Categories, Activity Plans, Budgets, and the Folder.
Edit cells in place, drag to resize columns, click column headers to sort. The Grid is where most day-to-day planning happens.
Calendar view
The Calendar view visualizes Line Items along a time axis — useful for planning timing-sensitive campaigns, launches, or events. Line Items appear as bars across the period they span; drag to adjust the window.
Switch between Grid and Calendar using the view toggle in the budget grid header.
Saved views
A Saved View is a filter and sort combination you've saved so you can return to it quickly. For example: "FY26 Digital Media, owned by me, sorted by planned amount descending."
To create a saved view:
- Apply the filters and sorts you want.
- Open the Views menu → Save as New View.
- Name the view.
- Choose whether it's visible to just you or shared with your team.
Shared views are useful for teams working the same slice of a budget (e.g. a regional team sharing a filter for their region).
Switching views
Saved views appear in the Views menu or sidebar. Click to apply. The underlying budget data doesn't change — views just change what you see.
