The red map (N) links on Home open the mapping interface. Here's the step-by-step for assigning unmapped PO or Actual records to Line Items.
When manual mapping is needed
Most PO and Actual records auto-map on import (see How auto-mapping works for POs and Actuals in Allocadia). Records that don't auto-map appear as a count on the Home page in the PO or Actuals column. A count in red means action is needed; grey / green (0) means nothing to map.
Open the mapping interface
- Open Home.
- Find the hierarchy with unmapped records (red
map (N)). - Click the red
map (N)link in the PO or Actuals column. - The Map PO/Actuals page opens, showing every unmapped row with all the data from the import file.
Map a single row
- Scroll through the data to find a row you can identify as belonging to a specific Line Item. Tip: open a second browser tab on the Activities page to search line items side-by-side.
- Click the row to highlight it.
- Set the first three columns after the Imported Date:
- Activity Plan — destination plan; change only if needed.
- Category / Sub-Category — or "Grand Total" if not applicable.
- Line Item — auto-populates if only one option exists; otherwise pick from the dropdown.
- Click the purple Map (1) button. The row disappears once mapped.
If no matching Line Item exists
Create the Line Item first (see Adding and editing line items in Allocadia), then return to the mapping interface and complete the map.
If a record is incorrectly mapped
Mappings can be reversed and re-done. See Re-mapping a PO or Actual in Allocadia.
