Change a PR after submission by opening a Modified PR; cancel a PR entirely from the PR actions menu. Both actions re-enter the approval workflow.
Modifying a submitted PR
Once a PR is submitted, the record is locked. To change it, open a Modified PR.
- Open the PR you need to change.
- From the PR actions menu, click Modify (or Create Modified PR).
- A new PR form opens, pre-populated with the current values.
- Change the fields that need updating (typically amount or vendor).
- Submit the Modified PR.
The Modified PR enters the approval workflow in parallel with — or in place of — the original, depending on your account's configuration. For more on how Modified PRs flow, see Modified Purchase Requests and re-approvals in Allocadia.
Cancelling a PR
- Open the PR you want to cancel.
- From the PR actions menu, click Cancel PR.
- Add a reason for cancellation (required in most account configurations).
- Confirm.
Cancelled PRs are retained in the system for audit purposes but no longer count against the Line Item's planned budget.
Who can modify or cancel
- The PR requestor can typically modify or cancel their own PRs before final approval.
- Once a PR is fully approved and the PO exists downstream, cancellation usually requires admin or finance team involvement.
- Specific permissions vary by account — if the Modify or Cancel action is greyed out, your role doesn't grant it.
