Short Description You loaded a Saved View and the grid is correctly filtered, but the Filter Panel doesn't show the active filters highlighted. Here's how to confirm filters are applied and where to look.
What this article answers
- Whether the issue is functional or visual.
- How to verify which filters are actually active.
- When this is a known display behavior versus a real problem.
What's happening
You opened a Saved View that you know has filters configured. The grid below displays a filtered subset of plans, tactics, or budgets — so the filters are working — but the Filter Panel itself doesn't visually highlight the filter attributes that are applied.

Why this happens
Saved Views store the filter criteria as a configuration. The Filter Panel renders the filter state at the moment you open it. In some Saved Views, the Filter Panel's visual highlight (the indicator showing "this attribute has an active filter") may not appear even when the filter is correctly applied to the grid below.
This is a display nuance — not a data integrity problem. The filtered results in your grid are accurate.
How to confirm what's filtered
Option 1 — Open the Filter Panel and inspect
- Open the Filter Panel for the current view.
- Scroll through the filter attributes. Active values are populated even when the highlight is missing.
- Note which attributes have values selected and which are empty.
Option 2 — Compare with an unfiltered view
- Open a fresh All Plans or All Tactics view with no filter.
- Compare the row count to your Saved View. The difference is what your filters are excluding.
Option 3 — Resave the view
If the highlight is important for your workflow:
- From the loaded Saved View, open the Filter Panel.
- Click each filter attribute that has an active value and re-confirm the selection.
- Save the view again with the same name.
This sometimes restores the highlight indicator on the saved configuration.
Common questions
Is my data being filtered correctly? Yes. The grid below the Filter Panel is the source of truth — if the row count and contents match what you expect, the filter is working as intended.
Why does this happen on some Saved Views and not others? Different combinations of filter attributes (especially custom attributes with dependencies) can interact differently with the visual highlight. The functional behavior is consistent; the visual indicator is the variable.
Should I report this? If the lack of highlight is interfering with your work, contact Support with the Saved View name and a screenshot. The information helps prioritize the visual fix.
